The High Peaks Wilderness — our backyard

Born Here.
Built for This.

We didn't find the Adirondacks — we grew up in them. Every trail we guide, every campsite we set up, every piece of gear we rent has been tested by people who live and work in this wilderness year-round.

We're a small, owner-operated outfit. No corporate package tours. No rushed group herding. We keep our groups small because the experience matters more than the headcount.

FAQ

Still have questions? Give us a call. We've heard them all — and we're always happy to talk wilderness.

Do I need experience to join a guided trip?+
No. We offer trips for all experience levels, from first-timers to seasoned backcountry campers. When you book, just let us know where you're at and we'll match you with the right trip and guide.
What's included in the price?+
All guided trips include your certified guide, safety equipment, and a detailed pre-trip brief. Multi-day trips include camp setup and breakdown. Gear rental is available separately and can be bundled at a discount.
What's your weather policy?+
We operate in most weather conditions — the Adirondacks are beautiful in rain, mist, and snow. We only cancel for severe weather that poses a genuine safety risk. In those cases, you'll receive a full refund or reschedule at no cost.
How far in advance should I book?+
Peak season (June–September) books fast. We recommend reserving at least 3–4 weeks out for summer trips. Off-season trips can often be arranged with shorter notice — just call us.
Do you accommodate families with kids?+
Absolutely. We offer family-friendly trips designed for mixed groups with children. We're patient, we keep the pace manageable, and we know how to make the outdoors exciting for kids of all ages.
